The profiles at Víkurfjara beach measured for the 12th time
The Víkurfjara beach project continued last Tuesday when students from the 7th and 8th grade of Víkurskóli school measured the five profiles on Víkurfjara beach. This is the 12th time that the profiles are measured, but they are measured four times a year, and this was the final measurement of this year. The weather during the measurements was very nice, although quite cold, and while half of the group was measuring, the other half learned about the groynes and how they work to protect the beach. You can read more about the Víkurfjara beach project here and see the results from the student’s measurements, and photos from the measurements can be found here.
