The profiles in Víkurfjara beach measured for the 10th time in the Víkurfjara beach project.

The Víkurfjara beach project continued last Wednesday when students from the 9^th and 10^th grade of Víkurskóli elementary school measured the five profiles on Víkurfjara beach and the location of the beach ridge. This is the 10^th time that the profiles were measured and the third time the beach ridge is measured, as the ridge is only measured once a year whereas the profiles are measured four times a year. The measurements went well, and the weather was not too bad. The opportunity was used to have a look at the new coastal defense wall that is being built east of Vík as well.
